Reciting a surah is recommended and is achieved by reciting some portion of the Qurâan, be it a single verse or more. Ramli expounded on this in his commentary on Imam Nawawi â s Minhaj al-Talibin. ( Nihayat al-Muhtaj 1/491) This is for the imam and the person praying alone. As for one following an imam, he may be in one of two situations:Among the adhkar that can be recited after prayer are the following: 1. Astaghfirullah 3 times 2. Allahumma anta al-salam wa minka al-salam tabarakta ya dhal-jalali waâl-ikram 3. Reciting Ayat al-Kursiy silently, 4. Reciting Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad, Qul a'udhu bi Rabbiâl-Falaq and Qul aâudhu bi Rabbiâl-Nas.The Almighty Allah says in the Holy Quran in Chapter Al-Asr about the importance of time: âBy time, indeed, mankind is in loss, Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.â (Quran, 103: 1-3). The Ayahs explain the worth of time in life of a Muslim. You should read surah Ikhlas and Maâawwidhatain after the daily prayer, before sleeping, and when waking up so that Allah protects you from any harm. The prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said: âAbdullah bin Khubaib reported: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said to me, âRecite Surat Al-Ikhlas and Al- Muâawwidhatain (Surat Al-Falaq Surah Asr, or the âDeclining Dayâ, is the 103rd chapter of the Holy Quran and appears in the 30th juz. It was revealed in Makkah before the migration and has 3 verses which make it one of the shortest surahs in the Quran. It is the last chapter in the Quran that Allah swears by something (Time) at the beginning. Surah.
